In a nutshell, I’m a divorced 40 something year old cheer mom of two girls (newly re-married), a small business owner, a fitness professional, a personal trainer, an unofficial motivator, a hype girl, an unintentional and definitely not medically qualified therapist (keeping it real), and a wanna be survivor of emotional trauma.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and a Masters of Business Administration degree.
After college I decided to follow my dad’s wishes and landed a job with the Federal Government making a very comfortable living working at the United States Department of Energy in the Office of Science for 12 years.
I became a mom in 2014 and for the first time in my life I understood what true, unconditional love felt like. This was easy I thought so, in 2016 I became a mom again. Life clapped back - Easy? Ha….you fool.
In 2020, I decided to pursue my passion and dream when my best friend and I decided to opened a Boutique Fitness Studio -
Our mission at LifeCYCLE is to create a community of powerful people. Our platform is our group cycling, strength, recovery classes and nutriton program but our mission goes far beyond the 50 minute classes and studios walls.
I get asked all the time what it’s like owning a business and every time I say - it’s a lot like a rollercoaster…the ups are fun and the downs are really scary. Truly, it’s a lot of work but can also be the most fulfilling thing you’ll ever do.
At LifeCYCLE I’m the co-owner and operator; creative resource; manage the fitness program, product quality control and client retention; recruit and train instructors; lead indoor cycling instructor and strength and conditioning coach; I run the personal training and small group training programs; manage our Nutrition Program; and a bunch of other things small business owners have to do to keep their door open.
Outside of LifeCYCLE my girls keep me busy with sideline and competitive cheer where I also dabble in coaching. When I’m not consumed with that #cheerlife - you can find me on my computer running the business, creating new ideas for the studio, designing graphics and marketing material for the studio, programming for clients, or writing for my blog. For fun, you’ll find me with my girls, outside enjoying nature or hanging with my main man Hopper (my dog).
